A Taste of February

Our ‘Taste of February‘ dinner will take place on Thursday 13th February 2020, from 6pm. Limited places are available so if you’re thinking about attending this dinner, be sure to request a reservation by either completing the form at the bottom of this page or giving us a call on 01254 292155.

Four Course Meal

1. Prawns
Oriental hot & sour broth, served with aromatic prawn toast, seaweed & king prawn won ton

3. Kedgerie
Roasted rainbow trout, served with aromatic rice, English peas, crispy hens egg & a cod fishcake

2. Shoulder of Lamb
Slow cooked shoulder of lamb, served with variations of parsnip, sweet red wine sauce, pureed potatoes & bacon fat cabbage

Lemon Posset
Scholars lemon posset served with variations of sugar and meringue, raspberries and edible flowers

Vegetarian Alternative

1. Eggs
Crispy Hens egg, served with glazed asparagus, hollandaise & Butternut veloute

3. Wild Mushrooms
Sautéed wild mushroom risotto, served with English peas & parmesan.

2. Winter Vegetables
Salad of winter vegetables with goat’s curd, English beets & cobnuts

Lemon Posset
Scholars lemon posset served with variations of sugar and meringue, raspberries and edible flowers

Relax and enjoy this four course set menu for only £20 per person.

Please be mindful that our students are being assessed during each service and will sometimes be under pressure to ensure that you have a fantastic experience at Scholars Restaurant.

We kindly ask that you arrive ten minutes prior to help ensure the best possible service is provided during your visit.

A non-refundable deposit of £10 per person is required to secure a reservation. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your meal on the day.

How to pay your deposit
We can take payment over the phone so it’s as simple as giving us a call on 01254 292155. Alternatively, you can stop by Scholars Restaurant and pay in person.
